Title: My new "free" machine has cost me 350$ so far!
Post by: oldgoaly on November 06, 2021, 10:13:44 PM
It's a 1930/1 Deckel GK-2 s/n 6694  engraver / pantographIt's been sitting in that spot for 20+ years unused. I hope to have it moved into it spot in my shop and running this next week. I have newer manuals in English bt theolder manual is in German. Guess I'll need to drink more beer!

Well I still don't have it running, it does run but has issues. The small work table is stuck in the lower position. it is a  double acme screw and it only is turning on one. I took the  switch wire off to take small table knee off and found the wire s are  losing the insulation. Time to rewire!  hoping by soaking the  2nd acme thread it will wotk loose. Got about 60+ pics of work / repairs done already on the machine. Probably will be around a 100 when it is finally doing what it is made to do. Engraving & light milling in 3d.
