Title: Estate Sale Buy - Oct. 30, 2021
Post by: Yadda on October 30, 2021, 07:51:02 PM
I picked this up for $5 today.  The wrench is marked Fiat.  The rusty sledge hammer head is a 6 pounder, but after rust removal will be more likely 5.5 pounds. The clamps are Craftsman malleable and a  Brinks & Cotton.

I have a couple of the Fiat wrenches.  The 8mm - 10mm sizes are useful especially because the 8mm will work perfectly on 5/16 hardware.  Great for a motor or bicycle tool kit.

AND they'll work beautifully on 8mm hardware

I picked up a FIAT wrench myself over the last week.  It seems they are not much different than the "Ford" wrenches - where the tool in the tool kits have long outlived the vehicles.

Probably not a difficult goal to reach with an older Fiat.

With the amount of oil typically leaking from an old Fiat, the wrenches should never get rusty. Mine looks like it has Permatex on it which somehow seems appropriate.
