Purchased a very old woodworking toolbox yesterday. Was at a specialty resale shop, a few months ago , told self if it was still
there it coming home with me. Home made, not refinished or repainted, which is what is usually found. Not a tool in it, but the lid is set to take 5 hand saws. 3 sliding tills, but no names or graphiti. Think there is enough period tools around here to outfit it. Will get some before and after pics soon. Going to clean the original varnish, scrub off the paint specks, replace the non original hasp, that iis all. Been wanting one for years, this is a bit fancy, am going to enjoy it while I can.

Sounds interesting, looking forward to seeing some pictures. The old carpenter tool chests always interest me. I don't have the room to have one.

Definitely want to see photos. Empty and full.

Will throw in my 2ยข for seeing some pics.
Have made tool tray for screwdrivers,
tray for pliers, and a tray for bits and drivers.
But sometime would like to try building a
righteous shooter's box or carpenter's chest.
Any pics would help for ideas and reference.
Would post pics of trays but they are pretty
plain; one even has re-purposed broom handle.
