Stopped on my way home from work yesterday. Found these Champion Spark Plug wrenches. CT-403 with 13/16" and 7/8" hex. Also got a bicycle wrench and a galvanized handle I need for an access panel. I put the plug wrenches on ebay. If they sell they'll pay for the other two keeper pieces.

Nice!!

Those are kind of cool, I've never seen them before. Any idea on when they would have been made?

No idea when they were made. Not finding any info online. Perhaps a look thru some older Champion plug catalogs could yield results.

Would guess pre WWII, when most cars had flathead engines or lawn mower engines only things these wrenches would work on. Kind of neat looking, never seen them before. Have a set similar, held together with a screw and wingnut.

Hi John, Maybe not that old. I have a 1958 International Cub tractor with 7/8" spark plug. Very limited access to the top of the engine (unless you remove the fuel tank/hood, but there's a saying in the Cub forum - "Never remove the hood", because if you do you'll find 6 other things that need fixing besides the reason you removed the hood!).
