Post by: vadim_365 on October 01, 2020, 01:27:43 PM
Good afternoon. I have such tools in my collection. I did not find any information about them. Help? I am looking for the number 1 of the same manufacturer.

These are similar to our Bullard Automatic Wrench Company wrenches patented October 27, 1903 under US patent 742,389. You can look at DATAMP.org and enter the patent number.

It is similar in shape to a bullard. But this is German, there is the Kissing und Möllmann brand. No more information. Probably produced between 1934-1945

In Germany, a similar key was produced under the name Platina.

The G.M. in D.R.G.M. is "GebrauchsMuster" --  not as rigorous as a patent & only applied to articles of utility.  I have come across a few GebrauchsMuster registrations corresponding to U.S. wrench patents.  As noted above, the design is pretty much a copy of the Bullard patent with some slight tweak of details.  Thanks for the name of the manufacturing company -- I might get lucky with a search using  Google books & turn up an advertisement (I had that kind of luck with a MAUSER quick-adjust ad from the early 1920s.)
