Title: Wegner Quick Adjust Wrench
Post by: Lewill2 on September 25, 2020, 06:31:51 PM
I purchased this wrench 2 weeks ago on eBay and it just arrived at the house yesterday. It was in the possession of the USPS for those 2 weeks. It is a quick adjust buggy wrench patented by Frederick A. Wegner on February 11, 1890, patent 420,981. Maybe they delivered it by a horse and buggy to my local post office. The wrench is 11 1/2 inches long. A hammer poll is on the back of the upper stationary jaw.

Another nice one. How exactly does it work? Does the adjustment cross-pin wedge into place? Or are you able to just depress it with your thumb?

The cross pin is a wedge shaped pin that can be moved with your fingers.

And the dynamic jaw could be used as a Pitman tool, as well.
