My lock down project was to build 2 new wrench display cases for my wrench collection. After I started building them I determined that they would be large enough to display my complete Hilary Klein wrench collection with room for the ones that I still need to fill out the collection in the event I get lucky enough to fill in the holes. The wrenches are in numerical order per my booklet. Previously the collection was housed in my Gerstner cabinet that took up 2 1/2 drawers. The covers are lift off design to access the inside of the cabinet. The second cabinet still has room for my Jim Keats miniature wrenches.

There are two spots for wrench 51. Two versions or do you just like that one better?
-
Astonishing.

We are all deeply impressed, Les !

There are 2 spots for #51 because I know of 1 different variation for that wrench, there are 4 #34's in the case as there are 4 different variations of that one #34 is the Coes wrench, #51 is the E. B. Smith patent.
Good eye!

Nice molding too, Federal style? vintage?

What are the dimensions on the cabinets?
-
Molding on the cabinets is new pine painted with Old Village acrylic latex paint, Cabinet Maker's Blue and Rittenhouse Red. The cabinet bases are 12 inches X 42 inches outside dimensions, the covers are 15 inches X 45 inches outside. I use 1 X 4 oak for the cabinet side, left over 3/4 oak flooring for the backs. Mounted high they will fit over the door on the wall next to the door. I have 4 cabinets a little smaller that fit resting on doorway molding and still allow space to lift the covers off for access.

Great job, really shows off the wrenches. As to the molding, I have used a lot of that to make picture frames, as I picked up 10 pieces eight foot long at an auction.
