Last night I saw Mike and Frank buy some tools. It never happens. (Now, of course, someone will point out an instance that proves me wrong, but that's OK.)
The two pickers hit the attic of a defunct hardware store and bought four Mephisto Perfect Handle type screwdrivers. Black plastic handles and bright (chrome?) blades.
I have seen Mephisto ball peen hammers and augur bits, but I can find no screwdrivers online that match the ones from last nite's show. I see an ebay ad that shows screwdrivers, but not of this type.

FINALLY.
They were pretty cool. Never saw them before.

I saw that too and thought the same thing. I don't recall ever seeing screw drivers like that before.
-
I missed it. Haven't watched them much lately. Kinda gets ols seeing a barn full of neat stuff and they buy three or four "smalls".

I noticed the screwdrivers also, have never seen any like them. I have a set of Mephisto auger bits and a couple of Mephisto crescent type wrenches.

Yes. I get it with old cars, bikes, oil cans, cycles, and such. But I lost interest after the first box of hinges. And the little stuffed dolls? No thanks.

I think the oddity was the Perfect Handle types with molded handles.
