Title: Thorsen Tool box

Does anyone have any experience with Thorsen tool boxes?  Were they made by Thorsen or contracted out?
I found one for sale and would like to restore it, but if they are not good quality then I think I'll pass.

Without seeing the box in question, it’s hard to make an evaluation. I have quite a few Thorsen sets in boxes and they are as well made as any of their contemporaries. My largest Thorsen box was supplied by Huot and they made decent boxes. The two sets in the last picture were supplied to the military.
