Hello, I bought this yesterday, seemed to be well made, cool looking tool!! Now if I can only identify its use!! I tried Gut Hook, but nothing by the Zanetti name. Any ideas?? Thanks, Lou

Might be a pasta cutter? just guessing.

Harpoon for very short people.
?

I'm guessing food related like P-toad Lou, but I'm thinking more like a cheese knife may be.

It looks like Zanelli to me. If you go to zanelli.com, they make industrial mixing machines. I knew a guy in FL at a chemical plant where I did contract work. His nickname was lefty because he tried to use his right hand to fish something out of a treatment chemical vat that was being stirred by one of those things. It was a pretty gruesome injury.

I found some cheese

For cutting vinyl flooring, etc.?

Bill, Lou, I have crackers. Where can we meet?

My guess would bee linoleum, but I like the cheese idea!
ok who cut the cheese?

Al, Bill. Stop by here, red wine always available!!! The label on the item I have here looks like the label on the cheese package. I am going to bring this into the local import store, see what they think. I could see this being used to cut the rope/twine sometimes seen on large rounds/blocks of imported cheeses. Thanks guys for all of your input!!! Regards, Lou

Yes, and maybe cutting through the wax coating on certain cheeses. By the way Gouda is my favorite.
