Title: Always nice to find some Yankee screwdriver bits
Post by: bonneyman on July 16, 2019, 03:11:14 PM
Found a handful the other day, at the last pawn shop in town that still carries "bin" tools. The nutrunner is an APEX with a very strong magnet.

Is the nutrunner 1/4" hex?  If so, it's probably for insert bits that size, which will let you drive all kinds of screws: Phillips, Torx, Robertson/square, etc.  Quite a good score.

Nice find!! The screwdriver bits look crisp!! I think Bill nailed it about the insert bits, first one I have seen with the indent for a Yankee. Regards, Lou

Yeah, 10-4. Fits my biggest Yankee driver.

For what it’s worth, Lee Valley Tools still sells the bits for these drivers. I happen to like the square drive screws and they even have bits for them.
