I'm not sure I've ever met someone from Idaho.  ...  I'd love to know something about where you live... ect.
Oh, you'll get used to me on this site.....  I tend to ramble on and ask questions about random things. Anyhow, I'd love to know anything about Idaho.
I'm very glad you've decided to join us here.
cheers,
bird.

15 days later, and all we got was a "Hello"?

I ASSUME you're talkin' bout' me!!! !  So, here's the best reasons to be on the site.... which only the crazy rambler can say-
-you'll  learn a lot about tools
- with any luck, you'll teach all of us something about tools
- you have an excuse to be on the computer.... just claim you're looking into the latest stock prices
- we're a lot of fun
- persons on this sight have a high tolerance for persons  (hmmmmm.... like me)
- oh yeah, it's free to be a member here
- you're surrounded by persons that actually care so much about tools, their history, their original origin, the geographic origin of the particular tool/ tool maker,
and so much more.....  which metal/ metals is the tool composed of?  How was it forged, what are the forge marks? How did the person who made the tool actually live?
- as so often happened, which year did which factory on which actual address burn to the ground?
-What happened to the original wrench providers?  Did companies "merge" together?  What dates did companies sell/ buy 'up' other companies?
- How many wrench "names" were manufactured for other companies?
-which wrench providers were around in 1850, 1860... ect. ?
So,  I suppose it comes down to how much you want to learn, how much you want to teach, how much you want to research, and how much you want to listen to others.

So, there, Papaw.....  that's what you get!!!
cheers, bird
- At what point were wrenches "streamlined" in order for mass production verses original tool kits meant for individual cars?
- SAE, AF, OC, USS......   what does all of that mean... what's the history?
