Found amongst my late father's tools ...

Description:
- One side reads: "COVENTRY MOVEMENT Co"
- The other side reads: "The E.B.C Pat No 263633"
- Range of adjustment: approx 6mm to 9.5mm
- Action: plier-like, not parallel
- Era: Mid 20th Century (best guess)
- Original Purpose: Horology
- Dad's Purpose: Probably telecoms (UK Post Office)

Probably not made to be used as a wrench, more likely a clamp or holding device. It is probably a UK patent or some other European country.
