Title: Unusual Plier Type Tool
Post by: lptools on September 29, 2018, 08:06:23 PM
Hello, I picked this up, thinking it was a tack, or, staple puller. I don't believe it is either one . It seems to be more of a cutter , or, shear of some sort. It seems to be well made, stamped JAPAN, with a logo that I can't be sure of ,MHJ or MHJC. Also marked PAT. , and what looks like 527646. Thanks, Lou

Hi Lou, this may seem a little off the wall, but I think I’ve seen something like it for cutting the nails on dogs.

Everyone who has a dog and opened this thread probably had to apologize to the dog for scaring it.  I've yet to meet a dog who loves seeing those cutters approaching.

I've learned that to not make your pet scared of these things you have to cut the nail on an angle other wise you crush the nail especially when the clipper is dull. So throw them away and buy new ones every so often.
