My neighbor just gave me this box with some military bags, paint sprayer, welding hoses, cord, 3 Maglites and the following old tools.

The clamp is rusty but I think it will free up. Marked - Wetzler Clamp Co. U.S.A. Long Island City N.Y. and the number 7. How old is this?
The big snips are marked Wiss U.S.A. V19.
The small snips are marked - with a shared B - Bergman Buffalo. Anyone familiar with this company?
The saw is marked on one side - Allway-Master Pat. No. 21378000 Unbreakable Handle. The opposite side - Ultra Mfg. Co. N.Y.C. Made in U.S.A.
The saw blade can fit either side or on top and can be mounted facing up down left or right.

Wetzler clamps are considered top of the line, and, when I did sheet metal work for a living briefly, every tinbender had Wiss snips in the tool belt.

Here is a little history of the Wetzler co.http://www.poconorecord.com/article/20100801/NEWS02/8010316 (http://www.poconorecord.com/article/20100801/NEWS02/8010316)

Those Allway saws must have been popular I see them alot here.
The Bergman buffalo snips are from Bergman Tool Manufacturing Company makers of Queen City and Bluebird brand tools.

Thank Bill and bill, great info! The Bergman snips are in excellent condition. Have not tested the Wiss snips but they look like they might be good.

Hello, Al. Good find on the clamp!!!! I do believe Wetzler closed their plant recently. Regards, Lou

Adding: those duckbill snips are helpful on curved lines, although they don't "track" automatically on straight cuts. In most sheet metal work, straight cuts are more frequent. But you can keep duckbill snips on course - just scribe your line well, and pay close attention as you cut.
