They opened the barns again this weekend at the Plainville Turkey Farm. The sellers do a lot of cleanouts and rent one of the barns for storage. I saw this Kennedy box last time I was there. It's in good shape - needs cleaning. And the contents included a Harrold's pliers and a very vintage looking Lever Jaw locking pliers. I thought it was funny that there was a center punch and a "matching" pencil.
Do you think the tray is original to the Kennedy box? It's kind of a olive drab while the box is Kennedy brown wrinkle finish. The tray is about as perfect a fitas it can be.

Might be original. I have had a Kennedy with a drawer like that.

I bought that same tool box in 1970. My first tool box. It cost $17.00 plus tax. Somebody broke into my wrecking yard office and stole it in 1979 along with the tools in it. I have since replaced it along with other Kennedy boxes. I am not sure if the tote in yours is correct. My only box like that is buried.

In the mid 70's I bought a box just like that at the Kennedy outlet in Van Wert, Ohio. It had spotwelds showing thru the wrinkle paint, so it was a second. It had the smooth painted tray. I paid a whooping $3.00 for it. It was my trunk box for a few years. It was a handy size.
