Title: Problems
Post by: Papaw on May 18, 2011, 06:55:43 PM
Though we are back up and running , there are still some bugs to work out.
For example, I don't see a Reply button to use to reply to a post. The way to reply that I am using is to use the Quote button, that opens a post box, then I erase the quotes and make the reply.
Avatars are apparently not showing yet.
If you see others, please post about them here.

I cannot post attachments either, but I notice 2 or 3 members can? Very Strange!

Good Luck sorting this out,

Looking better all the time Noel ! I'm now able to post pictures again, and I hope our other members can do the same.

Thanks,

Though I can claim a small amount of the praise, I do have an anonymous helper that really has done the heavy lifting.
This is NOT the helper I am referring to-

This is NOT him either-

Credit is due! You got the job done! As Eastwood says "you got to know your limitations" and you knew the person to fill the gaps.

There seems to be a problem posting. It keeps saying I'm timed out. Retry. When I retry it wipes out the attatchments. Seems to work on the second try.

Haven't seen that on this end, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Just an FYI, it has been happening to me as well, for the past 2 days.

I have been getting frequent timeout errors when trying to access or refresh a page. When that happens I am unable to communicate with the site at all after that. Sometimes lasts an hour but more often it's longer.

Happens almost everyday usually after midnight Pacific time.

That sounds like a hosting overload error. The server is so busy trying to do stuff it just fiddles around and times out.

Now I have experienced the same thing a couple of times on the computer at work, between midnight and four AM.

About the times the Asian countries are on the net with the "workers" trying to set up forum accounts and posting comments on blogs.

I've seen the Indian area advertising those positions for around 11 Rupee a post.

Click on My Messages
Cursor over Messages
Drop down appears
  New Messages
  Inbox
  Sent Messages

But when you send a message, you have to tell the software to Save the message in the Sent folder
