Title: International Harvestor Adjustable
Post by: rustyfordgarage on May 21, 2017, 10:13:03 PM
Had to get this the other day.  Other than a nice article on the farm collector site I didn't see much else about it.  Anyone know what It came with?  Patented Sep. 7 1897 Despite its age and experience it still adjusts easily with one hand.

One of the more common IH adjustable's.  The wood handle variants are much less common, as are the small ones like you have.

This wrench was widely issued; some but maybe not all of its usages were; McCormick Deering two horse mowers,Deering Ideal mowers,Deering New Ideal mowers,McCormick Deering reapers,Mccormick Deering corn binders,Deering Ideal Harvesters and binders,MCcormick Deering harvester thresher and at this point I got tired but the list goes on. Thats why they are easy to find.

Thanks.  Didn't realize adjustable wrenches were so common with horse drawn equipment, I guess I figured the multi size open wrenches covered most of it.  I'm surprised I don't see them more often around here.
