Title: 2 drawknives
Post by: john k on April 13, 2017, 09:51:16 AM
Moving, shifting stuff around in the shop and things keep appearing from the depths.   The big drawknife which is actually a standard size is a Witherby?   Was never rusty, a rare find for me.   The small one was made by my father in WWII,  when going to night school to become a certified welder.  Some early plastic for handles,  no cracks or discoloration.  The blade is some extremely hard steel that holds a great edge, he got as scrap from a defense plant.  Used it as a kid and hung onto it all this time.  Gremlins in the puter must of been hungry and ate the first batch
