ANNOUNCEMENT: The UK Tools and Trades History Society is now publishing "whatsits" on its revised website at www.taths.org.uk/tools-and-trades/queries where there are several mysterious old tools resisting all attempts to identify them. Please have a look and add any information you can as a comment. Other parts of the site show the society's activities, shop, archive publications and articles on tools and trades. More info at taths.org.uk.
