Title: Goodall-Pratt power hacksaw
Post by: Catch22! on January 02, 2017, 11:44:04 PM
Picked up this Goodall-Pratt power hacksaw.  From the gray color, I am thinking it was perhaps a Navy machine?   It has been modified a bit.  I am thinking of restoring it.

Very nice, I love the upright compact design. Most power hacksaws are long and lanky. If it is Navy or other US Gov. there should be evidence of a brass asset tag I would think.

Good point Joe.  None that I can see, but as I disassemble  and clean it, i will look closer.

We have a 1942 Monarch EE lathe (love this lathe) that is a US Navy lathe (same color gray), and you are correct, there is a Navy tag on it.
