Can any of you fellows point me to the patent info for the Plomb tik-tok ratchet?
The 5449, etc.

No help on the patent, but we did discuss that ratchet here- http://www.papawswrench.com/vboard/index.php?topic=15472.0 (http://www.papawswrench.com/vboard/index.php?topic=15472.0)
And Alloy Artifacts references 1921 Eagle patent #1,380,643, which is for handle design.

I spent some time this morning looking for the patent, but no luck.

Here's two of the earliest. Lowell Wrench Co was the first to use this design.

Thanks so much. Who would have thought of putting the selector at the base of the handle!
One inventor from Waco, and one from Worcester.
Both patents are so interesting.
