Title: Avery and Walker Bros
Post by: jimwrench on December 09, 2016, 06:37:48 PM
Went to an auction that had 56 cast implement seats and various other goodies. Didn't really try to buy any seats but did get these two wrenchs which were why I attended. The Avery 464 and Walker Bros D44 were two I didn't own. A nice auction The Dekalb sign was like 4 feet by 3 feet and I had not seen one like it. It will sell at a later date.
I think the wrenchs are a little uncommon as I don't remember seeing either one but that probably means I don't remember what I had for breakfast.

Very nice condition for implement wrenches. Most of the ones I have or have seen are not near that clean. I like the Avery. An interesting shape.

The Walker Bros wrench was for a very early dishwashing machine so maybe it was kept in the kitchen which would explain its nice condition. Read where one person said you could wash a weeks worth of vegetables at one time. Will the wonders of modern science never cease. The pig sign sold today and I didn't think it was worth the 40 mile drive.
