Title: Huther Brothers Saw
Post by: Lewill2 on July 31, 2016, 11:23:06 AM
Did anybody else look at the eBay lot for the 3 Huther Bros Saw items auction? The seller has them listed as bench top portable saw horses, I'm not sure I agree with that, what about you guys? The seller states they are brass or bronze. It looks like there is still a Huther Brothers still in business but I'm not sure it is the same company.

I just checked it out, not sure about use as stated, but would like to test them.

they look more suited for being an advertising paper weight. didn't it say made of brass ?

and a google search showed that they had closed the doors.

one person stated the honcho's took 6 months salary and gave the employees each $600.oo  ?

I guess I was thinking maybe a saw rest for large 2 man saws to set the teeth. I don't know how you sharpen and set a 2 man saw. You would require a pretty hefty saw vise if you did it like a hand saw.

Hello, I took a look at the listing, and they don't look like sawhorses to me, no guesses  either. Now this is a bench top sawhorse:-) Actually, it is a display for the brackets, another obscure company from Syracuse, NY. Regards, Lou
