hi all!
bought at a flea market this thing, maybe someone knows
whose this is a trademark?
thank you!

Looks like an H D Smith Perfect Handle screwdriver, but Smith didn't put a trademark in that spot under the wood scales.
Another thing- the "trademark" is similar to International Harvester, but I don't think it is, and don't think they had that type of screwdriver anyway.

I second Papaw's thinking. At first, I assumed it was IH, but then....
-
Overall shape doesn't look just 'right' for SMITH.
-
Is possible when you polish the shaft, a Made in Germany will appear. I like this Perfect handles, replacing the scales is a learning experience.
-
Plenty were made in Germany, and then there are also Irwin ones almost identical.

who made a PH style driver with a hex bolster?

I think it was P,S, & W/Pexto.
I had one marked Merit and another True Value but I would guess these were contract production.

Irwin had a hex bolster on the heavy mechanics models.

I was thinking Irwin, mine is marked merit. so contract produced for sears.

My Pexto doesn't have the bolster.
