Title: Silversmith vise
Post by: Twilight Fenrir on June 18, 2016, 09:41:24 AM
Just won this little guy at a local auction, along with a saw vise in the same lot. There are no maker's marks on it, but it works nicely and will be great for fine jewelry work. The jaws are 1 1/4" wide, ans open up to 1 1/4", though the spring won't push it open past about 5/8". I think it was plated at one point...

I do get the impression that it is somewhat cheaply made... But maybe I'm just too used tk beafy tools in my blacksmithing.

that is a nice little vise.  you can replace that spring with a new one and it will work just fine.
