Title: Stumpy Armstrong single 11/16 box
Post by: moparthug on June 01, 2016, 02:52:18 PM
I found two of these short (5-1/4 long) Armstrong No.1803 Armaloy 11/16 single box wrenches this morning, one of them had been hammered on the handle to break free/tighten stuck nuts and was badly deformed so I left it, and then this clean one I bought for fifty cents even though the chrome is mostly gone. Did they make handle extensions for these for more torque, or is this all you got?

did the bad one look like the ID contact area was partly stripped ?

with that many points, I would not believe they were meant to have rough usage. ?????

They were the exact same wrench, the one I left behind had been hit with a hammer so many times the "top" was flat. I thought the same thing but the teeth were still there, tough little wrench!
