Looking to complete a set of these, the ones with the DOE's at 75 deg angles. Finish is unimportant, so long as the OE's are in good shape. These wrenches are going to be worked!
UPDATE: I've gotten several more wrenches, and now have at least one example of every size I use. But, I'd like to get the intermediate sizes. Basically just to double up on common sizes, or get a longer version of a size for added reach. I'd be willing to look at any wrench you guys find, but the #'s I'm looking for are:
2725 short 7/16 x 1/2
2025A long 7/16x 5/8
2025 long 1/2 x 19/32

Well these aren't Williams, but for a 'bonneyman' and for $31 shipped ... I thought you might want to take a look see. They are over on Etsy.com

Looking to complete a set of these, the ones with the DOE's at 75 deg angles. I need an 5/8, 11/16, and 3/4 - in whatever combination you've got. Finish is unimportant, so long as the OE's are in good shape. These wrenches are going to be worked!
What are the Williams numbers you need?

A 2027C and 2729 will get me where I want to go with two wrenches.
But the following number wrenches have the sizes I want as long as I can mix and match to get them:
2727, 2027C, 2728, 2027, 2729, 2730, 2029, 2030, 2731A

I'll be on the lookout.

Cool! It must have just posted, as I've been checking in daily just to see what comes down the pike.
Thanks!

Just a quick handy fyi for you since you say you have been checking ebay daily for a particular thing. If you search the item and then click the "save this search" link, ebay will email you whenever a new item that fits your criteria is listed. They usually send out the notices about 5 a.m.
Like so:

Thanks for that trick!

OK, I got that 2029 off of ebay, so I've whittled down the ones I still need.
-
Found some more of these puppies, so I've updated my "want" list.

You still looking for the 2027C?

Nice group of those vintage sweethearts! I'm looking for the style with both open ends angled.
Thanks for the thought!

Talking Superrenches in general, a long diatribe that has been dealt with for ages on g503.com is about chrome molybdenum versus chrome alloy/alloy time frame, as there is a disagreement on when Chrome Molybdenum Superrenches stopped being maufactured having been superseded by Chrome alloy.
What is your opinion on the matter?
-
I hadn't thought about it.
According to AA, the steel Williams used in their obstruction wrenches was so dog gone good it basically clinched the market for them. And, judging from the ones I have - being 60+ years old and still quite useable - corroborates that statement.
