Title: Sargent / Brosnihan
Post by: PFSchaffner on April 01, 2016, 05:16:00 PM
Here's a nice Sargent Brosnihan-patent nut/pipe wrench that
arrived in the donations this week. Unlike the example on the
Alloy Artifacts site, the 'Brosnihan' and 'Sargent' stamps are a
single integrated stamp

"SARGENT BROSNIHAN
     PATENT
 SEPT 4 1900"

One ear of the sliding jaw is broken off, but the rest is VG,
maybe VG+ I think.

(That's a Winchester 6" screwdriver that arrived with it,
keeping it company.  In a box of rusty stuff, these two spoke
to me.)

Dang!  That is a thing of beauty!
Good, too, that you rescued the Winchester from the humiliation of being used to open paint cans.

Darn straight!  That's what wood chisels are for!
