Well Bird,  There is a lot of info on the interweb on Buhl Sons Co.  Not sure what kind of info you need.  I did not see anything tying in with Herbrand.  The business started with the Buhl Sons Co. name in 1873 and was in Detroit until the early 1960's.  They made a few things...

Well, let me hop on over to ebay and buy that:) I wasn't aware that it was connected to any other wrench companies which is why that one wrench was puzzling to me. Do you know if their production was targeted towards cars, tractos, ect? I don't run across them too often, but when I was wading through my wrenches the other day I realized I had a pile of them, so I got curious as any good wrench collector should!!!

Here's a 1918 catalog you can view http://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015021210805;view=1up;seq=322;size=75 (http://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015021210805;view=1up;seq=322;size=75).
They sold a lot of different stuff.

Bill,  How did you find that?  That book has over 1200 pages.  Apparently the amount of stuff they didn't make would fit on a postage stamp.

Thats an impressive catalog. They sold a lot of other peoples goods and I wonder how much they really manufactured. Didn't see much in the wrench line but may have missed some. A great reference for a lot of older things.

It came up in a search for buhl and son. Guess I just got lucky. I was also amazed at the variety of offerings.

From what I saw in the catalog it appears that they were a big supply house that also had some items made with their name on them. The way I see it they didn't make anything just made deals to have their name applied to items.
