Just finished my final tool haunt hunt of 2015.
Stopped at a couple of pawn shops because that's about all there is left here in the great North Woods.
Got a nice Craftsman 1/4" ratchet, a Cman 7/16" combo to complete my 1/4" to 1" set (Somehow I also ended up with a 5/32" in there), and a Cman 446014 4" adjustable for my beginners collection (I am up to 9 now) all for $2.
And a sweet WF21 PLVMB ratchet in 3/8".
"What can we do on this old ratchet?" I asked the counter man. He took it in hand, gave it a good look, and commented that since it was made in U.S.A. it would cost me $5. I countered with $3 and we settled on $4. I can only surmise that the man had had a series of small strokes recently. I was expecting him to ask at least $20. The bay is asking from $25 to $30. Plus S&H.
Have a great new year, everyone, and let's get spring started ASAP.
