This one has me beat, but that's pretty easy to do.
19" long polished steel flat bar with a tang like a file's, and a 'point' of some kind at the business end, hardened perhaps, removeable, flat, and not sharp (perhaps 1/16" thick at the 'edge', which is blunt). Marked "Peerless."

That is a machinist scraper, for "scraping in" flat precision surfaces. It's likely that the edge is carbide.

I thought scraper; I even thought 'carbide', but the exact application eluded me. Thank you. pfs
