Title: old cast iron level ID help
Post by: eelpout11 on June 10, 2015, 12:19:11 PM
I have an old cast iron level that I need help identifying the maker.  12 inches, 3 bubble levels, only markings are a "K" in a rectangle and the numbers 612 in a rectangle.  Thanks

I can't help with who made it, but whoever it was, the engineer designing it must have had a Stanley cast iron level on the drawing board to inspire him - the resemblance is pretty strong.

Google Keen Kutter K612 level and I think you'll find your answer.

Stanley probably made this level for Keen Kutter. I know that many KK planes were Stanley made.
