Hi everyone,
I am assembling the tool kit for my 1929 Packard and I am looking for a Vlchek parabolic double open end wrench. It is the smallest wrench in the set, and apparently it is rare. It is 5/16 on one end and 1/2 inch on the other. It is stamped on one side with "Made in USA" and "1" on one side. The other side is stamped "drop forged". It doesnt have the Vlchek logo, but everyone says they were Vlchek. I have one, but it is badly pitted. Does anyone know who may have this wrench and is possibly willing to part with it? It will go to a good home and be paired with an almost complete set of factory correct tools! If you know of the existence of this wrench please email me at wogec@yahoo.com. Thanks for any help you may be able to offer.

5/16 by 1/2 is a tough size
It would be standard number 22, a size I don't find often.
I'll rummage thru the stacks tho.

I would be much obliged!

I have a few Vlcheks but 5/16 x 1/2 does not seem familiar. I'll check them out for you.
I'm curious to what the other sizes are in the set.

I'm so glad you asked, when I went back to the original parts book and checked, I realized I had gotten the size wrong. I incorrectly stated the small wrench was 5/16 and 1/2, when it is actually 5/16 and 1/4. I apologize for the grainy picture, but the five open end wrneches are shown in the upper right corner. Their sizes are:
1/4 - 5/16 Packard item number 47669
9/16 - 1/2 Packard item number 46707
9/16 - 5/8 Packard item number 46707
3/4 - 13/16 Packard item number 115774
15/16 - 1 Packard item number 46704
