Its a little mis-matched and haven't checked all the sockets yet. Not sure if this is a correct box or not but here it is.

No markings on the extensions except for the knurling and the sliding tee (male) is a Husky H-3884

Which one are you talking about?

The owner must have done repairs for a living. Those are some very used tools.
Bet they could tell some stories.

He was there and said it was his first socket set. He was 81.

what you paid was close to what they sold for in the early 1930's.
I would have bought them also,
QUESTION; on the brace wrench, is the square socket the same size as the square end ???
the previous owner must have bought them used when he was 20 years old in the 1950's.
if it was my box, I would get rid of those screws holding the Walden info plate.

Disregarding the adapter in the middle - (Wow! I'm surprised that didn't snap all the way into two pieces). I think the adapter on the right is for a Hinsdale ratchet. The adapter on the left may be for a Bonney ratchet. Both are reversed by removing the adapter and plugging it in the other side.

Here is the page with a lot of info on it.

1920, older than I thought, 1930's still listed some of the 1100 series tools.
I live in Massachusetts and the only catalogs I have come accross are the 1960's
when they were Stevens-Waldens.
there is a seller on eb that sells pages cut out from older hardware catalogs.
