Post by: david mckenzie on April 28, 2015, 06:09:58 AM

I work for a laminate manufacturer and have recently mstumpled across some old tools. Trouble is I cannot find out what this tool is used for. Any ideas?

Kind Regards and Thank You.

It appears to be a strap wrench , for turning pipe or round objects. Seems to be over engineered ,
must be government issue lol

looks like a strap clamp, the extra part tied to the handle may be for larger objects to be clamped ?

Looks like it.. for round objects, or if it had the other 3 corner pieces could hold square items together..  https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTFmWl5PGOAVwN3Uhi7isEMlhBS1WCTviIGGOywEJ7IAYamBuma

But looks like it is spring steel strap, maybe a problem on corners..
