Found this #5 with the Aluminum replacement tote today. I have seen them, but have never been able to buy until today. Plane it is on was trashed, broken frog and cheek on the casting, but I was able to also salvage a good low knob and lever cap.

The aluminum tote was marketed to High School Shop classes.
Try to find a shop class these days, let alone students that would want to take shop.
I would make shop class mandatory, as well as all of the necessary life skills. Cooking, basic auto maint, home finances, basic home repairs and wiring. etc.etc.

Shop class is back in Camp!!
After years of just a closed building, last year and this we got a guy from the next town to take it over and start it up again.
Boys and girls both making projects!
I am so delighted to see it.

I'll be happy to. And will eventually.
Right now Bob (a metalworker) is learning about woodworking himself, and a little insecure about a "ringer" coming in to talk to his students.
He'll get over it though. He's not that dumb.
Yeah I'll love playing with the kids.
