Might be a tube extractor?

I should have mentioned size. Overall about 4.5" with a 1/4" shaft. What kind of tube are you thinking?

sorta looks like a pulley tap?

I had to google pulley taps but No, They are not taps. The thread is incredibly fine. It took a while to figure out if it was a thread or merely concentric circles

Maybe tapered reamers?, for wooden tapered plugs or tuning keys for Ukuleles, just uses friction to hold keys that tune the strings..

I've been wondering if these are used like a corkscrew but havent figured out which material they could screw into.

I have seen the NOT GUAR on some Mac & Snap-on tools, non-warranty items, did not come up with a match.
