Title: Unusual Henry Disston & Sons saw

Got this in my 'care' package from Donnelly's auction yesterday and thought I would share it with the group.

It was called a No. 1 bead saw and was used to cut a groove for weather stripping.

The 5 teeth at the tip are all there are.  The rest is just blank.

This is the first one I've seen, and since they were only made from 1929 to 1945 they must be relatively scarce.  I'm not a saw guy but odd stuff always catches my eye.  And this is sure odd.

Weatherstripping for window sashes?  Or doors?   In the pre-war period this would have been the felt strip, or?
