Well, wrench pickin's were pretty slim this weekend, but I did manage to drag home plenty of goodies.
from the top - left to right
Top row
Russell Jennings box with (8) auger bits - a couple are nice and crispy!
Deere & Mansur seeder? - usually just see the lids, this is the whole thing from what I can tell
IHC metal tool box with wooden floor
Middle row
Some sort of horse bit,
Dr Rinehart Handy Hog Holder - not sure how I lived without it
Bottom row
Thorsen 77J ratchet
Ill load some close ups as I get time.

I always heard this bit called a "watering bit."

The bits sound good. Can't go wrong with Russell Jennings. The Deere and Mansur box is unusual in its completeness. Everybody needs a hog holder. I think I'd stick with Jennings bits and leave the horse bits to someone who still uses horses. Another ratchet is always good. Think you got to the IHC box about 50 years past its prime. Noone can accuse you of not having an eclectic collection. Keep hunting.

Some bits are stamped "cast steel", others are not.

Jim,
How does that seeder work? Could you get a shot inside?
The lid is very nice, and mounted on the body it is incredible.

Chilly,
I am not the one to ask how it works, its a little before my time. I did find a picture of the implement it probably came off of (or one similar).
