Title: SOLD: Craftsman grinding/polishing arbor, $30 shipped
Post by: Bill Houghton on January 30, 2015, 11:44:26 AM
$30 shipped within the United States (beyond, you'll pay whatever extra cost is beyond US$16.50).

The Craftsman has surface rust, but seems sound. Cast into the back side of the center is the number 25253-103 (I guess this predates the later practice of putting the manufacturer's code first in the model number, but 103 implies Central Specialty of Ypsilanti, MI). The bushings seem to be in pretty decent condition.

Marks on the scale on one of the photos below are one inch.

Later edit: found a buyer, at the price asked.

Always wanted to set up a belt-driven arbor. I have one, but haven't found enough "Round Tuits"!

the ideal power belt for something like this is the new power twist v-belts, sold by the foot.

                                       PROS

easy to remove or add a link, runs smooth and has less friction, plus, easy to install.

if you ever decide to change the motor pulley diameter, just add or remove links as needed.

                                    CONS
the price is $30 to $35 for 4 feet    3/8"   or   1/2"
