Man, what a Big show going on in Central Florida.
The Flywheelers show seems much bigger then I remember from 2 years ago, and we were able to see a good amount of quality tools.
I really like this little hammer, no markings of course !! Any idea of the manufacturer?
And another multi tool came home also.
What brand are those flattened (kinda), wide body vises? They make me think of a turtle. The Craptain showed me one he bought recently. I ask about these, because a vendor had a small version (2") of those vises for $65 !!!!!!!! Wow !!
Anyway, a good time was had ! Mikeswrenches, I was looking for you, but couldn't find you. Maybe the next show.

Very nice Perfect Handle hammer specimen. I don't know anything about this hammer but I can tell you it's a keeper.

Sorry you missed us. It's a huge place and hard to find people when you don't have a specific location.
Should be here in Feb. too.
The hammer may be a Stanley. I don't have my books with me. The tool handle looks to be European. Possibly British.
1930 and any other members that can make it to the show, please stop by and say hello.

Ok so I lied, I was the one that looked like Uncle Fester but it was very nice meeting Mike, he is very personable and was a real pleasure to speak with.
I made a video of his set-up and some of the things to be seen at this show but I have to wait for my wife to make it on0line to you-tube.
Walked out with some goodies myself
These were on the dollar 2 dollar table, nice ball pein, lighter weight than what I have now, seemed like a nice hammer, the wire brush intrigued me cause it reminded me of a shoe brush, not sure what its original purpose would have been, ice pick with a store name on it, havent had the time to clean it yet to read it but I am hoping it is an advertising giveway for Dodge Brothers Corp :), a very sexy handled screwdriver, cant turn these down for 1.00 and some sort of flexible tool with various bits in the handle, assuming maybe carb/automotive work...at a dollar I did not care.

Leroy NY, know nothing about, not in great shape but I have seen alot worse, make a long story short I walked up to it and read the tag, said 25.00 tool included, opened it and it was full of tools, could see right away alot of junk but also quite a few keepers, I assumed he put the decimal in the wrong place and was an idiot overpricing something at 250.00.

Nope he says 20.00, I couldnt do it, I had to tell him that it was too cheap and I would feel guilty not saying something, he said it was no problem, stuff he no longer needed.
Didnt have to tell me twice, I paid him and scooted 80 pds of tools away.
Some Snap-on ( very few ) some Napa, a nice SK stubby screwdriver, a bunch of Armstrong wrenches ( are they any good or junk? ) Armstrong ratchet 1/2 drive, seems crude in action. Stanley 50 piece ( approx ) socket set missing a few sockets ( 3 maybe ) pliers, 4 tape measures of various sizes, 3 high quality magnetic pick-up tools ( havent looked that hard for manuf. mark, nice telescoping mirror, some decent hammers and one junk brand hammer.......lots of misc screwdrivers, mostly junk....list can go on......also a hatchet, seems decent quality never removed from its leather protector. Next maybe Im crazy but I cant turn away anything cool, he was asking 65 ( which I thought was cheap ) but I bought for 50.

Last time the extinguisher was inspected was 1971 ( I think sitting here ) 71 or 74. I dont have the time but I plan to learn what I can about this particular extinguisher manufacturer. If anyone can tell me something than that would be helpful.

I'd say you did really well. That's a cool extinguisher,from what I've seen there seems to be way more brass or copper ones around than the chrome one like yours. I have a few but they are all copper and they sure don't have the have the original wall case.

I like those 2-1/2 gallon ones. I gave away 20 or so ~ May of last year. They make the best squirt guns.
To fill you unscrew the cap, after fully discharging all pressure, and put in water. A lot of them have a plastic tube that extends maybe 6" into the tank. It's purpose is to indicate when its full, leaving about 6"for air. After filling with water, fill with air through the shrader valve, just like a tire.
Sometimes, when I feel extra evil, I put a bunch of ice in. Makes the water really chilly. It gets the attention of the wettest water-fighter.
Cabinets are harder to find. They don't have an expiration date.

A funny thing happened this morning. I was looking in the 1934 Stanley Catalog for a countersink I recently purchased and stumbled on a hammer that is a dead ringer for your Perfect Handle style hammer. It's a:
Stanley No.2 Tack Hammer
Described as 4" head, 11-1/2" handle, wood scales, made of malleable iron.
I tried, but was unable to capture a photo image of the illustration.
Do me a favor and take some measurements of your hammer and clean up the metal to see if there are any stampings. Let me know what you find.
I think we have a "winner" here.

Gary, Thanks !! Good eye, I think you nailed it, the measurements are exact. Mikeswrenches was thinking it was a Stanley.
Using your info I found the below one on thebay, mine has a faint circle where the patent date would be.

Hello, I found a similar hammer from Stanley in John Walter's book. "No. 4 Improved Tack Hammer" , Conklin's Patent, 12" long, walnut infills, one piece head, handle, & claw. Book lists it as being 12" long. I have one here someplace, if I run across it, I will post a pic. Regards, Lou

Thanks for the kind words Brian. I've met a whole bunch of really nice folks down there, many of them come by at every show. Makes it all worthwhile when people appreciate what you've done.
1930 also stopped by. Haven't seen him for a couple years. Hope to see you both in February.
