I have a vintage Husky 3/8in. roundhead ratchet model CB-45, it was my Papas from the late 1960s, it was at the bottom of a box in the garage. When I found it, it would not move at all, so I used some WD-40 and it started moving again. I took it apart and cleaned it up, lubed it, and put it back together. Works great now, good as new. Here is a Video I did on me taking it apart, and lubing it up.

OkieTools, thank you for sharing, it's always great to see someone that appreciates their Dad's tools.
I see that you are from Oklahoma, a few moons ago (1959) I was stationed in Ft. Sill for about
three months, give or take a few days. I learned my way arounf Lawton while there. also
Chickasha. ( not sure if I spelled that right )
keep up the burning interest in old tools.

Thanks, it was actually my Grandpa's us grandkids called him Papa. I got a lot of his tools when my Grandma died, very cool old 1920's-60's tools. Tools I will always cherish because they were his, and he used them, and now I use them, and I will take good care of them and some day pass them on to my son, and I will teach him to take good care of them. He will use them to, then give them to his son. Then they will probably end up in some tool museum. I may sometime do a thread about them.
My Uncle was stationed at Fort Sill back in the 30's, 40's, and 50's. He was in the Army for 35 years, he was in WW2 and Korea. When I was a kid we used to go visit him, and he would take us on the base, pretty cool when your a kid to get to do that. After he retired he lived there in Lawton, and was berried there when he passed away some years ago. He was a good man.
I will keep it up. I like not just having and using tools, but I like collecting and researching them to.
