How many hundreds of millions of dollars did NASA spend paying brilliant enginincompoops who were too smart to send tools along, but could spend more millions on 3D manufacturing in space.

You gotta have post Doctoral people to be that damn dumb.

Not so dumb. Payload is restricted and slow to arrive. A needed tool can be 3D printed in space and get a job done when needed.

Jay Leno has the 3D printer and he makes obsolete parts for his huge collection
of antique & classic cars right in his own garage.

check; Jay Leno's 3D printer on google.

the price of this is also coming down.
