Title: Mystery Stanley tool
Post by: teamleader77 on September 05, 2011, 11:46:19 PM
This tool was found on a farm belonging to a former sheet metal worker.  Whether this occupation is related to this tool is unknown.  Any assistance in identifying this tool would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Site "teamleader77"! What you have is a "Saw Set", used to set the angle of the teeth on a hand saw.

Welcome to Tool Talk!
One of the  "mystery tools" we've seen here more often because of the fact that most people have no idea about setting saw teeth, etc. , thus the tool is obscure. Probably thousands of models have been produced over the years and in the modern age too many people just buy a new saw rather than repair the worn out one.
