I came across this tap & die set recently, just wondered if was any good.

Does anyone have a diagram of which taps it's supposed to have? All that are in this next pic have the ACE logo-the others (in the previous pic) I just stuck in to fill the box. All of the dies are ACE, but one is missing.

Anyway, I thought it was a nice little set.

Judging by the blow-molded case, it isn't too old, but looks like a nice user set.

I have bascically the same set, except a couple more items in it, and it is a green color?. They are made by Hanson, and Hanson is a good quality tool maker, I.M.O., as my set has been to me for years. Nice find!

Ditto, Hanson was a top quality tap and die maker...nice find : )

Cool info. Mine says No. 606 on the case, maybe your green one is a different number? It seems like most of the ACE brand taps are bottom hole taps-is that what it's called? Blunt on the end instead of pointy.

My set number is a #614. I have all three types of taps, ie. bottoming, plug, and taper taps.
