Title: Plomb Ratchet Plate Screws Source??

My red painted Plomb 3/4" drive Pebble Ratchet came in yesterday and getting the paint off was not a big issue, but the PO used a rivet to hold one side of the plate on.  Fortunately the female threads weren't damaged, but where do I find a pair of phillips #12 machine screw for this tool??  McMaster Carr may be the only hope.  The other screw is in okay shape after removing to clean and oil everything.  I have two phillips for it for temporary use, but don't want the shinny plated look they will offer.

The same goes for the 1/2" and 3/8" ones I have. The 3/8" uses a #6.  I found some allen heads to hold them together for the time being, but would like to put the right screw back in eventually.  Had a scary moment while putting the 1/2" back together today.  My shop is currently a mess and one of the pawl springs went boing over my right shoulder as I was assembling the innards.  Luck and a speaker magnet on a string retrieved it about 5 minutes after I quit cussing.

Such is life.

An old speaker magnet on a string is my go-to in cases like that!

I have a few # 12 1" length screws.Do you know what thread it is ?

I use a magnet out of an old microwave. Very strong pull!

The local Ace Hardware has some very small screws, but I don't know if the thread per inch is right for a ratchet.
I'd just take the ratchet down there and do a trial and error till I found the right ones.

Struck out at the local Ace store.  Our local screw and nut wholesaler got me fixed up temporarily, but I'll have to find better replacements in the near future.

Proto repair kits fit and are available. I have bought some and stashed them away for when they cannot be bought anymore. I have been buying every Proto and Plomb ratchet I can find if the price is right. Some work and some don't. Most offen the conical springs need replacing. Once in awhile a screw is missing. Only 2 I have bought needed the the pawls and wheel replaced. I have also started collecting Proto ratchets they have made for other companys. I also started collecting Proto knockoffs.

UNC would be 24, UNF would be 28 and UNEF 32.
