Does anyone have an old set of these, to compare with mine? I have searched the web, and found they still make the same model, but I wonder 2 things: 1) What vintage are they?, and 2.) Is the one handle supposed to be bent in like it is? If it was bent, they did a very good job, as it is semetrical, and no signs of stress as far a vice marks, heat color etc. Any info. and comments appreciated.
Thanks,
Wayne

Looks right to me. I don't have a crescent one but have seen the bent handle ones before.

Thanks Neals! I tend to agree with you.

The set I have has straight handles, but seems like I've seen the curved ones.

Thanks for the responses. I have looked and looked at many pair of these old fence plier/tools, and now think they were either intentionally modified (bent), or unintentionally modified (bent)! I have gone back to the 1930's, and see no bent handles like them. So, what to do??, leave them alone, or see if they want to return to their original position? Any adsvice appreciated !

Nice looking set you have there! I will see if the tool steel still remembers where it belongs,(steel memory), and if not, will leave them as they are. I have 1400 feet of fencing that won't mind what they look like, if they become user's tools! Lol
Thanks,

Well, my 2 cents: it would be a shame if you 'bent them back' and later found out that they were made that way in the first place. My vote is keep them as is and find another that is 'correct' and hang them side by side.
