Title: Specialty pliers of some kind

I have passed this pair up a few times and today I decided to buy them. I got them both for $1. A bargain!
The bent handled ones have no markings that I can see. It looks like they were once chrome finished. Anyone know what they are for?
The cutters are Enderes No. 39. Enderes has been around for quite a while and they happen to be the company that made my favorite pair of screwdrivers; their extra long 0935 and 0937. I have a story about that, maybe I'll post a picture of the screwdrivers and tell the story later on.
Anyway, here are the pliers for now.

Yeah, back then it was "sore knuckles" and "a hard days work"!

Nice finds, at a nice price! I love the looks of the slip joint pliers on the right, but do not know what their purpose was/is YET, but hope to find out.

Kxxr, Have the ends of the slip joints pliers been modified, they don't look the same? User modified tools are fasinating and I guess it was one way that new tools were developed!

They very well could be modified, and that is what usually is the first thing that comes to my mind as well. BUT, I have seen stranger pliers that were Not modified, so they need to be looked into. One case in point are these XCELITE 62 needle nose I just picked up yesterday, and have no Idea what they are designed for YET! Sorry if I hyjacked your post kxxr, just trying to make a point. I will see what i can find for you as well. 

EDIT: Mine are called "Transverse End Cutters". Still looking for yours.
