Arcair Burners' Aid. I thought it was neat but know I will never use it on my torch.

Neat gadget. I have never seen that one before, but torch guides were popular for a while until electric-eye table cutters made them more or less obsolete for production cutting. The illustration is interesting, the torch in the top right has a handle design that is pecular to the old airco torch....
Arcair is an interesting company in it's own right, it promoted a process for cutting steel using stick electrodes and compressed air, allowing people who otherwise couldn't justify an expensive cutting torch setup to occasionally cut metal if they already had an arc welder, which many mechanics and farmers did...

Has to be the most complete one I've seen in 50 years, and in a wood box too. The 2 silver triangles look like lighter flints for a Tripllite striker.
Most of those went flying far enough into the weeds nobody would walk out to bring them back. Purchasing goofs believed salesmen and weldors & burners either made the contraption disappear or stuck it in a coffee can out of sight.
ArcAir is a company built on convincing people using their product they should have been a helper on a garbage truck dreaming of a CDL and the steering wheel job instead of cooking copper coated carbon at 800 amps.
They did give out nice belt buckles though and free felt hats too.

I think it'd be OK if you were going to do hundreds of steel circles. But for occasional use it looks a bit cumbersome.
Pretty cool, though.
